4th Annual Take A Bite Out of Bullying

July 26, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

LOS ANGELES, CA – Anti-Bullying Non-Profit Boo2Bullying Partners with the Oceana Young Leader’s for it’s 4th Annual “Take A Bite Out Of Bullying” event. The two organizations will join forces to eradicate bullying of all forms, creating a better world that extends from the classroom to our oceans.

Founded in 2011, Boo2Bullying provides outreach, education, mentoring, inspiration and support for our youth and their families. They identify as “a consortium of artists and vision- aries dedicated to transforming this generation into one of strength and empowerment.” They seek to eradicate bullying, intolerance and discrimination by educating schools and parents about accepting diversity and giving young people the tools to connect with and positively impact those around them.

Oceana, established in 2001, is an international ocean conservation organization. Oceana is dedicated to achieving measurable change by conducting specific, science-based campaigns with fixed deadlines and clearly articulated goals. Since its founding, Oceana has won nearly 200 victories and protected more than 3.5 million square miles of ocean.

In 2016, Kira Cahill and Olivia Dahan co-founded the Oceana Young Leader’s, a sub-group of Oceana, seeking to develop young adult Ocean Advocates with the desire and resources to preserve the world’s oceans. The Young Leaders seek to harness the power of the younger generations. We increase awareness, engagement, and a conservancy-mindset in a develop- ing population that is caring and willing to put forth effort to save the world’s greatest resource: the ocean.

Special performance by The P22s are a young, energetic rock band that plays a mix of covers and originals with a style bassist Ernie Kamp calls “Blunkpunkinko.” With Liam Butler on keys, Greta Fannin on guitar, Ernie Kamp on bass and lead vocals and Riley Wagner-Lewis on drums, this small, young band pumps out a big, mature sound. They are directed by LA rock veteran, Dan West (aka “D’Animal” and half of “Lovey Dove” with Azalia Snail). www.thep22s.com
