Inaugural Kick Bullying To The Curb 2023

Boo2Bullying scores home run for star-studded 10th Anniversary

They came, they saw, they played baseball and scored a home run — kickball style — against one of the greatest challenges of youth: bullying.

“On behalf of the City of Palm Springs and all our residents, thank you for standing up for our young people,” said Mayor Grace Garner as she presented a proclamation declaring Sept. 30 “Boo2Bullying Day” in honor of the esteemed nonprofit’s 10th anniversary. “This work is so important, as sadly, bullying against young people, especially our LGBTQ+ youth, is still going on.”

The crowd at the Sept. 30 community wellness festival at Sunrise Park was up for a party — and down to educate about and eradicate bullying. The day’s “kick bullying to the curb” theme was mirrored in on-field activities (an old-fashion kickball game) fueled with free food and replete with supportive words from community leaders.
